As we look ahead to the opening of Causeway Academy on 1 September 2026, we’re pleased to share an important update regarding our site arrangements and how these will support every student’s learning journey.
To ensure a smooth transition, Causeway Academy will open across all three existing school sites. This approach has been carefully designed to ensure continuity, stability, and the best possible outcomes for all learners.
Here’s what this means for September 2026:
To ensure a smooth and supportive transition, we will adopt the following plan
Key Stage 3 students (Years 8-10) will begin their journey in Causeway Academy at the Carthall Road Campus (previously known as Coleraine College)
A brand-new Sixth Form (Year 13) will be launched at the Cloyfin Campus (previously known as North Coast Integrated College)
Years 11 and 12 and Year 14 will remain on the campus of their legacy school (Dunluce School, Coleraine College, or North Coast Integrated College) to complete their studies and examinations without disruption.
The Academy will operate across three campuses during this transition:
Carthall Campus (previously known as Coleraine College)
Bushmills Campus (previously known as Dunluce School)
Cloyfin Campus (previously known as North Coast Integrated College)
This approach reflects our commitment to putting students first. It allows us to preserve the strengths of each existing site while building a unified Causeway Academy identity. Most importantly, it ensures that every young person receives the support, stability, and opportunity they deserve.
